Well not using her on the run tomorrow still a few things to do to get her reliable for the seatcover
Started with the front wheel bearings and saw the slave sylinders are little moisty so went and got front and back new ones and not the rubber hoses they looked brand new
So on the way home I said to myself I just should have gotten new rubber hoses and klaar na nee my own ass must get a kick when I got home thought just stripp everything ells off and check the hoses

so much muck in there cant even get the compressed air to blow through
then gat buzy with the rear fitted new Side shaft seal kits they are always prone to leak and I dont want any oil leaks on the new refurb mags

had a set of brake drums and shoes in stock that Was skimmed and relined and used them with the new slave cylinders

I have learnt out of previous experience that when you fir mag wheels with Adapter plates on a bug it is one hell of a mission to adjust the brakes when they get low
What I did was drilled a hole at each adjuster in the backing plate so you do not need to remove wheel and adapter to adjust brakes

Got the back wheels on to see how they look on the bug and they are looking CCCCWEEEET

The wheels are stickking out slightly so have to make a plan about that wider fender or short side shafts in the back
First want to get the motor inn next week and see how the bug sits with the weight of the motor inn then will see what I can do might take a little meat off the back of the rims if there is enough strength left
As can be seen on the top pic the left front fender is repaired and looking good again
Now not to long for it to run

Well got the brakes and all sorted done the wheel bearings and re fitted all the drums adapters on and all 4 wheels fitted and this bug is looking really super with the BIG FEET on him
I installed the motor after I replaced the 6V flywheel that was on the motor from the donor bug and all the look fast goodies when I started the motor there was one helluva rumble thought the fan was loose that I did not tighten it enough
which would be very unlicly removed the fan belt started the bug again and still with the rumble
Now I knew it was the flywheel that was loose but How it could be I could not under stand so lost a bit of interrested for a day or so
Well ripped the motor out last night and walla flywheel nut was broken when FrisChris tightend it
So now the crank was Damaged and the Fly wheel
I used the pencil grinder and flattend the burrs on the crank and used a new Flywheel that was still lekker

and Some trusted Locktite reasembled all and chucked the motor back in the bug
And started up on the first turn

and sounds very nice with out any Rumbles now just need to fit a new Vacuun advance and all the vacuum hoses and Airfilter and give it a bit of a tune and the test drive
Then on Sunday to cars in the park I will use Beetlefanatics (MY new Company Car

) While he is Out a country and the Wive can drive her bug there to get some shake down Km on the bug for the Cremlins that always Stick their heads out
Will post some Pics of the bug later
