There is a lrge improvment over the previous build of the motor. In the video (when he has web access again I'm sure he will post it) you will see me lift my finger when we hit 100kph, 0-100kph approx 5.5sec

we did have a some clutch slip in 1st around 3000rpm and then it bit... No wheel spin just grip from those fat takkies. Will have to check and see what the time to 100mph was... And the violance of the gear changes are well violent!!!

The front suspension is a bit firm and needs to soften up bit which would inprove the road manners. Then there is the Recaro seats! Firm but very comfortable and hugely supportive and adjustable. Plus they look like this.....
But feel like this......
Thanks Vader

Won't you have a problem registering a left hand drive?

The only substitute for cubic inches are more cubic inches.

Hi-Jack
Here is the consept that I have been pondering over quite a few gassmix experiments....
The whole Eco debate has been raging for ages and seeing as the SPCA aint ever going to pass my revolutionary renewable energy cow car, there must be a way for the average pothead to build his own eco freindly car??? The problem comes when choosing which energy source you want to use. Hybrid, Electric.
Electric has range issues, battery weight issues and charge time issues.
Hybrid is a good idea but for the cost.
So this is where I had the brain fart.. Electric-Hybrid...
Electric motors to drive the wheels and a small internal combustion motor to drive the alternators which generate the power for batteries which supplies the Electric Motors... These could be anything from 50kw-500kw motors and fitted to the gearbox to drive the wheels... You get huge Torque from 1rpm and low fuel consumption....
Am I smoking Chewbakkas socks or could something like this work?

Re: Whispers from The DarkSide 11 : TieFighter PG18!!h
This is the correct way to go, as an engine driven alternator has less resistance then the gear driven back axle, so strait up you have saves fuel.
Add to this the engine can generate power at the perfect power band, and run at a constant fuel intake, saving fuel again.
Driving the wheels with an electric motor also has higher efficiency and is lighter then motor, gear box and axle.
Then you can convert energy from the brakes, solar, and wind, and suspension, to top up the battery, which will be a lot smaller then in a full electric car, saving weight, saving fuel.
Volkswagen have made a prototype that they call XL1 (if my memory serves me right) as it does 100Km per liter

Maybe this is the way you must go with the Tie Fighter, you will have a winner.
