The options are ridiculous for South Africa! Since when were the super beetles (1302 & 1303) sold there ???
Why isn't there an option for the normal 1300, 1600 ? The most common!
Where is the option for my favourite, the 1600S which is the most South African Beetle of them all ?


I can only select the bay This is going to reflect on the average of the rating which is going to be false. Just like the voting for the car of the century which was by internet all those years ago thereby keeping away people such as myself.

Engine mid 1954

Papers have it registered as 1960 model, first registered on the 1st of Jan 1960?

still in pretty good nik and runs well when I get her running

I need to know what exactly is the best way to identify your beetle.

I have a 71 beetle it says vw1600 on the back. Its gt chrome on all the vents with vw branding on the trim.

Colour is called sandgreen i believe.
Its an olive beigey colour. Wheels are 15inch cream in colour.


I need to get the rust sorted and mix paint for the body. The dude offered to do the wheels for me too. What colour should i get the wheels painted!?

Interior is redbrownish pleather and fabrick. Carpets same colour, while the carpet behind the backseat is black. The dash is covered in a leathery trim. Same as the post '79 citigolfs had on the dashboard.

What on here is stock and what is aftermarket. What model is this!? There is some photos on my other posts.
Some suggestions on colours please.
