The Ghia is on hold for the moment. One of the drivers closed the car door on my finger and broke it. They operated last night.

Sorry to hear Didi - hope you broke that driver's NECK after the incident?
Should we start a 'Get an autobox for Didi's Ghia Wanted' thread? It's your call

Hey Guys, Can't seem to log on as didi, so it's still me.
had a gearbox oil leak on the spigot shaft.
Pulled the engine again

Wade gave me a hand.

The to do list is getting shorter.
Pine, the car is a lefty. I can still drive and change gears (my left hand is broken)

Didi dont forget to check that the bearing in the fly wheel is corect and that the spigot shaft is actually reaching in and run on it
other wise you will have that oil leaking from the seal for ever
Reason being that when you press the clutch pedal the spigot shaft got no support to hold the clutch plate center and the clutch plate runs sort off oval is and all oround with out the bearing support and with the spigot shaft then jolling arount and damaging the seal

How do you know if it is reaching? I'm positive that the issue has been resolved. Wade is quite good with these sort of things. One hell of a nice guy! As soon as he heard about my finger he offerd to help. Even with his dad being in hospital.
I developed a short somewhere on a wire running to the rear taillights, I had a short that kept on blowing the fuse.
Found the trouble. A burnt main harness in the front right rocker panel

problem solved

Wikus (also restoring a lowlight) fabricated a steering wheel trim piece out of fibreglass

Your project is looking very nice
The bearing in the fly wheel actually sit in the big nut so it is very easy to see if there is not one in
