No its a windsurfer not a surf board so couldnt surf




(took it for the kids to play in the river but they decided not to when they felt it was at about minus 50 deg C )

Most capetonians who live close to the sea never go to the beach, or to the mountain, or ... As long as we know it's there, we're happy. The water here is in any case too cold!

Yes thats true. Much to cold for anything.

I once met a guy on a course in Cape Town, who spent his whole life in Botswana, without ever having seen an ocean, or much greenness. He was quite taken with all the flora and played like a small child in the ice cold water at Bloubergstrand. It just shows how you appreciate something when you're not used to it.

Agreed!!!

Not much to update except that the Kombi was used for my Daughters Matric dance last week which was quite a hit I think. (that was the priority this year with the bus)

I am also busy trying to sort the licence/registration out and have already had to pay in almost R12k to try sort it out. I was told it would take up to 3 months so Im hoping by end of November it should all be sorted out. So it is being parked in the garage until then more than likely.


Just a warning to others, if a vehicle has been de-registered by the owner it is a much simpler process to re-register than if the vehicle was de-registered by the licencing department after no payment has been received for annual licences for I think 5 years.

Been a while since ive updated (busy time of year) ........ I finally managed to sort out the papers and registration! Cost me a small fortune but at least its done now!
I even drove it to work today, for the first time with its number plates on. She does need a serious tune as she is idling very high and I am still undecided what to do about the interior but right now we are just going to enjoy the bus and yes im still looking for a place to (wind)surf!
