Right, when you are fitting to the steering column to the grooved piece that bolts onto the actual rubber coupler, how does it fit? The end of the column has a slit cut into it, does this slit go over the flat part of the grooved piece? Can take a picture to show what i'm talking about...

Sorry Blitzy that I cant help. I just want to know, I can only afford R5500 for a beetle, need wheels and have asked HR for advise already. What condition can I expect to get for that price and what must I look out for? I am ignorant!

I would like to know where is the interior light in a old beetle.I was looking the other day and cant find it or the cavity where it could have been.There is a a door switch on the driver side so there must be a light inside.Please let me know where as i am really stumped.#%^$&& damn bugs.

Also i have the hooter loose and cant find the place where it must bolt on.eiish

theres alot to look out for Barbs, rather get one of the guys to help you look at a bug.

interior light is on d front passanger side, above the door, the place you usually will find a grab handle on newer cars.

Strange enough there is no such thing and the roof lining is sealed all around with no indication of something ever being there.I suspect that the beetle i bought as a project was built up from different year models.So maybe the roof lining was redone..etc

I have started.....you missed it. Pine has the warning lights he wanted and they will be on the way when he gives me the address.....Mrs DD :flash: has offered to post our parcels and she's 39 weeks pregant :D

Between 2500 and 3500.A good one around R4500 and a very good one up to R10 000.

And then you get the ones that go R30 000.
