Bought my new gauges and started building my new buggy dashboard. If I could find the camera, I would take pics.

Went to Ferdi's, bought EMPI sill covers (thanks Rui). Made a housing for my radio to mount under my dash, will also house my lock/unlock buttons for my central locking...

Ron&Gill wrote:Gill's bus... eish..

Pulled the motor, pulled the gearbox, offered up the new longer beetle gearbox, 'tis as they say, 40mm too long (old news), modified the gear box mount, modified the nose cone, offered it up again, re-designed the fancy-fix-it-all-plate from EMPI, sorted, but that was over the last couple of days.

Today I took the design to Dave who will fabricate the new plate for me, better design with a nylon interface to reduce noise. But, the big job was fitting the vacuum assisted brake booster and plumbed it in. All good, but can't bleed brakes yet because the brakes are elsewhere...

Gill says I'm scoring huge browny points... 8)

Had lots of help from TonyZ yesterday...
Pic as proof...
