Some more progress, things keep on interfering Jag radiator started leaking, have to replace it this weekend, one moer of a job!

The blinds went up this week: Bought some more goodies

Small tool trolley to cart things around on: SIP transformer Plasma cutter, 4mm: Rgrds

Also a 7 drawer tool trolley, now the stuff is getting organized: The new die grinder: Rgrds

is it just me, but ive alwayz wondered why a toolbox have that many screwdrivers. usually two of each is enough. a big and small flat and star. three hamers. isnt one enough. just moer harder if the thing is stuborn
on the other hand i too like lots of tools like most guys. makes one feel that he knows what hes doing

Its like hunting and getting Buck Fever I guess I am a great believer in using the right tool for the job, hence lots of different screwdrivers, that is not even all of mine

OMG, you scare me....
min 9 screwdrivers. Flat, size 1, 2 and 3, philips 1-3 and pozi 1-3
then maybe some torx too and maybe a flat 4 and 5

I am curious... Mind if I ask the price of the Plasma cutter and the straight die grinder? If you dont want to respond here, let me know by PM please?

BTW, those blinds look nice. Bet it will get nice and hot in there during summer!!! Nice little sun-room!

Plasma was R 10K and the die grinder was R 1.2K. That is the reason for the roll up blinds, roll up when hot, roll down when cold, nice sun room in winter.

@ sarel and tony- i have have absolutely nothing in my defence except that i put a completely disassembled beetle together with only two sized screwdrivers

if i may hijack for a second, there was post somewhere (dont know where thats why im putting it here ) where someone is looking for somebody who can make a tonour cover for a dropside splitty. if that person is raeding this try to get in contact with the guyz that made sarels carport "dropsides"

Gotcha! Not a bad idea with the blinds.

Those prices compare favourably with the prices here in France. But of course in the UK they cost a little less. I have my eye on a die grinder (electric) for a long time now. Just cant get myself to click the "Buy it Now" button on fleabay......

Done a lot of research on the die grinders, This model http://www.makitapowertoolsonline.com/A ... inder.html has one of the best reputations in the World. Go on, pull the trigger on it!

I had one of these before it got stolen.... Price tag of £551.08 inc.VAT.



Worked ok-ish. But was too weak for 4mm. This is what they state on the website/product manual.

Slices through iron, steel, aluminium, copper and brass etc. up to 4mm thick

They state up to 10mm thick. At a price tag of £880.08 inc.VAT

This does not include the price of going to get it in the UK(last time I went to visit a friend and brought it back here
