Hello and intro
Hi all,
Please excuse the brief intro, I'm currently reduced to using my left hand only for typing.
I'm Justin from Benoni, ex 60 Ghia owner. I sold my Jetta CLI in 95 cause I needed the cash when I got married 11 years ago and bought the ghia which was the our only car for nearly 2 years
, damn I miss those days
.
Anyhoo, I've been threatening to get another and now that my business have settled down and there is some spare cash I've decide nows the time.
Just browsing the forum the last few days has been great and I hope to not only get great advice, but contibute in months to come.
I'm looking at this 62 tomorrow, anybody recognize the vehicle or know it's history ?

Cheers,
Justin.

The above KG is a 1960, NOT a 1962.
It was my car earlier this year.
I purchased two KGs from Natal, and drove that one up a few months ago before I sold it to Dean aka Mr Ghia or something like that on this forum.
It was rescued from a cane field near Eshowe approximately 7 years ago, and was then sold to the guy I purchased it from.
That's the story, in short.
I have another complete 1962 project KG for sale if anyone is interested.
Cheers, N.

Somewhere I've got a lot of pics of the rebuild, but I've got major network issues at Home so getting them to you right now will be rather impossible.
I'm told the metal was imported from the states, and from what I saw photo-wise, it looks solid. I certainly did not find any evidence of filler, but then, I sold the car almost as soon as I got it.
The car was garaged once it was rebuilt, so it was out of the elements.
