Good news I have found a nice rack for scrappy!!! Iv been looking for one for a while now and I saw Muds selling his so hopefully all goes well and I can get it down here.

By any chance does any one in the Eastern Cape or some one willing to post have the inside straw part of the back rest of front seat lying around? I'm in need of one rather urgently.

Kind of, let just say I am on holiday now but been doing work of other people so far trying to make money to pay for parts for my beetle. I got a few more parts and I bought a new spare tier. I'm going camping for the week end in my parents old 1975 slipstream fold down caravan in Ado Elephant park but will do some body work on Monday

Okay I am still buffing the roof and I have given the front left mud flap a layer of primer so Its got to get buffed and then paint then on the car after that I would have almost finished the front end

Things left for Wiring:
The engine
The back lights
The hooter
Indicator

Body work:
Buff the car
Back 2 mud flaps
Spray the FR mudflap
Back engine lid

Mechanical:
Finish installing motor parts
Exhaust

Extras
Door windows
Gear knob
battery cover
Find straw for FL Back rest and cover
Front seat belts
1964 mud flaps
Bumpers
ect.

Okay I admit I have been a lazy bumb this holiday so next to no work was done

Yes, yes I know there are lots of little mistakes all over the car but don't worry I know about every one of them and I'm going to be re- doing many things. I have also got the part I was missing for the front seat so I am going to finish that, and I bought another rear boot lid as the old one was badly rusted.

Back to school for me tomorrow so its good bye again for a while

The first time i saw your car i thought you are taking on a way too much but

Thanks guys, The things that Im re-done are as follows:
The paint on the lower front end because there are a few things that don't fit like the bonnet catch and I'm going to have to make a plan
Iv started the rear apron because The car fell off its stand while I was at school and did some damage
Then there are some problems with the door windows I need to look at
The roof lining looks like so I will be finding a person who can do it properly.
The Carb needs a spacer because of the alternator been it the way (It had a genny)
The tin on the motor, I want to respray cause it has a few scratches and I want to replace a few things
I need to get the 3 springs for the Horn so I can get that working to
The rear mud guards are in do condition hence I have been avoiding doing any thing to them
I have to respray some parts of the car where I have buffed through the paint

Once I have done all that I will finish the rest of the car

Finally, I have covered all the seats and they are all in the car. But it's back to the boarding house for me latter today so Cheers guys

Ps. I will finish the car during my next holidays, If I don't then the project will probably have to wait a whole year before I work on it again. So I WILL FINISH THE CAR!!!

I did my drivers today and passed!!!! I now have some motivation to finish this project
