thanks chris have spoken with brianj and he was able to help me out in terms of who might be able to do the detailing on the rims ,now would anyone be able to tell me if the older shape fuel tank the tank that fills from inside the bonet/hood fits into compartment for the tank that fills from the flap that sits outside the car

i doubt that it will fit as the older tank is narrower than the newer tank

'72, I saw a new original VW colour this morning called "Diamond Grey", it was amazing....never seen it before on a VW. I'm seriously considering changing the orange on "MO" but then I have to change her name as the MO stand for Metalic Orange... my daughter came up with that!

dutch havent seen the colour before looks interesting love your cars name its special have been meaning to ask the place that did your bus was it in strand??

Mello you are maybe thinking of a oval tank type as in the previous pic on this thread with the Red bug and black painted tank

The 59 to +-66 that get filled from the front will fit in a later bug
Here is a pic of my 65 chop I had with the filler in the front Coz 72 if you want to do the Golf indicators you will need a tank like this

yes i do [as well as vuyo] ,but the guy wanted something like r300 for it without a fuel sender

so had a family friend round today hes also busy on his own project and quickly had a look at my front beam took two looks at it asked for a hammer and a allen key opened up the one side and from the looks of things one of the pieces of metal that run trough the beam have split dunno if its supposed to be like that (HELP)
