So I phoned Supa Quick - they do have them Firestones AT in a 215 x 14" but they cost like R1450 each Guess Ill have to save a bit more if I want these.....

Shop around a bit u might find a better price elswhere

I am used to the prices of CAR tyres, not 4x4's thats why I am shocked

What year was the last of the Type 3 built in South Africa ????????

Did they make the 1973 Fastback here or was production stopped before this time.....

I have not seen a Fastback later then a 1970 model here,

Has anybody on the forum got a 1973 Fastback, or even a SQ, or Notch ????

1969 was the last year that Type 3s were sold here in ZA.

Anything later than that are all imports.

Did VW ever build these type 3 panel vans here in SA ???

never sold locally, but there was a local company who converted some Type 3 station wagon to panels
