I had a 79 LS.

Gave me very good service, apart from the clutch cable that kept tearing out the firewall.

the tearing of the firewall and stifness of the clutch is usually due to a pirate part. the original part somehow does not cause strain on the firewall

they were quite powerful and you could get diferent bass type by changing the volume of the boxes. some say (maybe true) that u could burn the subs coil if u use the incorrect box size. i say trial and error, build in my garage blew some pro's minds away.

its all about creating a good balance

Woah! IMPPs. daaamn thats some old ass subs man. But some of the best Pioneer ever built. I still have a pair, but the coils are shott. Stuck em in a cupboard for too long.

The 1st of the last Mk1 was in Durbs today... with alot of fanfare, lotsa people showed up to say goodbye.

Saw 3 of the last 1000 limited edition Citi's today on a carrier in Witbank - two black, one blue. Doesn't look too bad, but I think the silver stripes at the bottom spoils it..

would it have been toooo much of an expense to put a decent badge on the side of the car (instead of those resin stickers), seeing that it is of the last of the legends.
:finger4u: to the designer

I owned a 86 1300 around 1995, after a good clean & polish I sold it, made a couple of grand on it. They are still good value for money.
