Ant bets that the offers of plenty $ and good old queenies (British or Aussie) will have him part with it, suitably broken hearted and " sold to someone who promosed to keep it in his collection in the Free State forever " only to see it for sale in a UK magazine or trade publication.
If the new owner is who we think it is, he has a very selective memory for remembering details when asked"where that rare priceless bug or bus is that he was seen in the last time you saw him"

HE IS DEALER, NOTHING MORE TO IT.

Now, I dont have a problem with dealers. I dare say that i could be tempted to flog my own bug overseas if money was the prime consideration at the time.
BUT I wouldn't bullshit everybody that I had exhausted the local market for offers before i flogged it offshore, or sold it to some local doos that promised to keep forever.

Talking about the local market------ just the other day, an interested party made me the grand offer of "around 8K" for my car, which many of you know well------ see what i mean about not even looking local.----
You're right FC it seems like Eddy Rust invested in this car. You couldn't call it buying because that entails that you will keep what you spent your money on.... :TIC:

I know but you don't, and I'm not gonna tell you, na-na-nana-na, fcuk me, so who bought the fcuking car? It's like a kindergarden, this thread...

Whoever he is, I hope he enjoys it, or sells it to someone who will enjoy it, I give a :bn: . As long as it gets looked after.

Here, kids, have some of your own medicine: this guy bought a buggy from a guy who used to be in the beach buggy club. He put a set of carbs on which he traded for a gearbox from a forum member. One forum member, not the same one as mentioned before, also knows him. Now we all know who he is. The question is, is he on the forum?

Hey guys, I was the one who bought the 51 RHD Split from a good friend and you would be glad to hear she has a good home and will be looked after in a dry region of South Africa. She will be undergoing a minor restoration to have the correct interior installed, together with the corrrect German Squareweave carpet, correct German Becker Monza Radio etc. and may be ready for the 2012 Cars in the Park.
