Ok,so ive done a test fit today on the beam,this is with a rostyle 185/65/14.im going to fit std rims when everything is done,i got my tyres today,front std rims with 145/65/15,,,rear widened 185/65/15
This is set at the highest point on my adjusters
widened rear,,,ill sandblast and paint rims before tyres goes on,and then a nice set of white walls from callooker

Looking good there !Yep this beam building thing is a hit and miss at best the bodys of the busses (specialy) are not all the same they seem to "move" with age

we had to "adjust" Donovans beam 7mm between the towers the beam was build on a jig that has seen at least 5 beams with no issues and the beam fits the jig 100% so i dont know

hey splitfan,sounds like uve done a couple of beams,hows a bus beam to a beetle beam,more work how much at the most can u narrow etc ?

Hi Phillip , a bus beam is "work" and cost more because i dont re use the shock towers i have new plates laser cut, but then again a 6inch beetle beam with custom mounts is also not a saturday afternoon job.I dont know how the "aftermarket" guys can sell you a narrowed beam and they all fit I prefer having the car or bus to take measurements from and building the beam from there.

Hey Phillip, is that steelie a tad wobbled on the inside (6-9 o'clock) from the weld?
Lekker to here that you were able to source the front skinny wheels. What are those commonly fitted on?

Thanx splitz,,,,,hi hloni,no the rims r perfectly straight,theyre just very dirty.i got a set of smart car tyres for the front (145/65/14),now i battle to get reversable adaptors for the disc brakes
