Yea, that's the look.

Do you have a link to a "how to" raise the engine - where the gear shift is still in the tunnel.

Would you cut the glass body above the tranny?

The best site that I've found is KCW.....it's not really a how to do page, but it' gives tonnes of pics and ideas.

If you wanted the engine and gearbox higher, you would have to look at cutting a but. But 2" should be more than enough for the average Joe, I can't see myself slamming the speedy as low as what some of the americans do it.

Apolgy ---- It a T2 tranny nose cone not a T3. I think that's the key to drop. Where to find a T2 tranny? The bracket is easy to make.

I'll ask around....

I found Type 2 nose cones for 64 euros.

Type 2 is lower on the gear shaft.

yup, looks to be at least an inch or so...........

WHy the hell doesn't our beetles have IRS, that would simplify so much.

IRS would help...

I got a T2 nose cone from Volks-spares - R650 Part number 211 301 211G, there is about 40mm in height differance.

Got some empi drop spindles on order with Volkspares. Hope that will get me down and dirty.

Also got a full set of drums from Alfa, R300 a piece. Hope they fit ok.

Your 356 is looking the mooi man

Did you get the Hockey stick with the Nose cone as they are different

Got some insides done. At last....

Will get some more photos on the drop spindles. Look much better a little lower.

Hi there

Leaving them as is. I didn't get the glass fibre panel for the rear. So no covers.

It doesn't look that bad. I have a small flat seat at the back in the same colour as the front seats.
