This is one epic post!Muderick wrote:![]()

First and foremost: Being from Phenomenal Bugz, I agree with what Juan is saying. So much is true, and "competition" from ACC, for lack of a better word, can surely breath in some new found zest into our club as well.... at the end of the day, our aim is exactly the same.
For a bunch of guys not wanting to be like other car clubs, this post has quickly turned into the politics that turns others away from said car clubs. Well done on NOT following that trend Mince!
![]()
Another trend that you need to be reminded of that you also follow, is blurting out your opinion left right and centre.... there is also something called keeping your opinion to yourself if its not positive, and thereafter one that becomes apologetic. Well done for not following that one.![]()
Well done also for becoming the foot in the mouth guy from the South.... taking over from another gent up north....Well done for not following that trend either....
![]()
For a busy guy who does not have time to comment and post boost on almost every topic.... well done for not following that trend either.![]()
At least you are starting a trend of people forgetting who you are Mince... well done.![]()
Maybe you described your self best above..." I am Mince, and I hate everything and everyone"
Stop being so angry dude, breathe in deep breaths and exhale slowly. You are cool and likable... just stop trying so hard!

Re: Great publicity for ACVW in CT
Just before someone starts slagging me off for making this a topic of discussion, I like everything ACC does, and F4R, and BBCSA, and Jason Furness, and yes, the A6 is still fine, etc, etc.
I also think it is an amazing use of FB. FB makes these things easier as does a forum like ACVWSA.
A lot easier than phoning every member two weeks before the breakfast run with info on where we're going, meeting, cost, distance, type of run, etc, and licking the back of 135 stamps to post news letters in hand written addressed envelopes... Thankfully we've moved on since then, which was not that long ago... before someone without hair gets a snarky remark in...
You guys keep doing what you're doing. I'll join in as often as I can anyway, and I'll help whenever you guys ask me too do something I can do.
Never mind Mince, I think you're very trendy...

I'm not sure about now.........
but in previous years Mince seems to have done to much "Head Banging" which has affected him or the weight of his 'axe" around his next has affected his brain. Or wait, Maybe it was the banging of his Drums that has caused this aggression.

It was definitely the drums. I am nearly 50% deaf in my right ear as a result, and all the headbanging definitely turn me into a d!ick.
although, funny enough, I am not aggressive. You guys think I am

Re: Great publicity for ACVW in CT
wow, just got back from visting grampa at the old folks home - thought they were a bunch of whining windbags.......
FWIW everyone here is actually on the same page. But I guess drama is entertainment...... you girls get sand in your vag or what?
Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one and they usually stink. But allowing them to HAVE them is a fairly adult thing to do.
Mince raises some very valid points, and instead of getting into a bitch session about semantics and who had their feathers ruffled it could actually be beneficial to take (some of) it on board. I am surprised that people I know and respect can't seem to see that it is his passion for the very thing that we all claim to love so dearly - ACVW's - that gets him worked up in the first place. Looking at the bigger picture there is actually something to LEARN here folks. Unlike some stirrers we see on here, he actually seems to think before he posts, even if the tone is read as aggresive by some of us.....
Getting caught up & spat up by a trend machine can be pretty dangerous to any real enthusiast's hobby - and it is greedy bandwagon climbers that f&*k it up. But the trendsters and scensters are always going to happen. That is a given.
So accepting that as fact, perhaps the better approach would be to work at ensuring that when the wave hits those that are going to stick around and keep riding it are educated properly, well informed, and those looking to coin it before moving on are spotted early. Muscle cars are a case in point - prices went nuts and there were cowboys dusting heaps of crap over and selling them for crazy money. Those guys are gone and the ones left behind have to pick up the pieces. Never did see the hotrod "scene" getting the same attention unfortunately.....we can still build a R300K car and hope to sell it for 80 if we are lucky.......
But petty bullshit and infighting always seems to rule with the guys who claim to be the real enthusiasts and doyens of the hobby. Go figure. Seen it over and over. I used to get worked up, but now I just roll my eyes and wait for the next version....
Yet I am on my own little crusade too, spending obscene amounts of cash on a mouthpiece that may never properly get off the ground, because we "need" something to give a (proper) voice to and grow the awareness of this passion. The cynic in me wonders why every day........
ok - steam blown off, I feel better now.
BTW Mince it was Ken Howard's family's greed that f*&*ked that name up, and Ed Roth's kids have been fighting each other pretty good too. Luckily no Rat Finks on every second chinese made trucker cap though....yet
