Did you come right with the fuel gauge leak? I had the same problem, I found that one of the screws was missing its small plastic ring and the fuel was leaking through the thread on the screw. So I took one of those big white wall plugs (the one you use to put screws into the wall) and I cut the end off of it and used that as the new plastic ring which stopped the leak. :hangloose: :hangloose:

not yet, still enjoying the trip!
I had a look and want to replace the gasket first.
The fuel gauge bit is complete, so I think the gasket is the issue. (well I hope so!)

Just reread through your thread. Your bug is going to be a show-stopper!

Seeing your roof rack just makes me want one even MORE! Do let us know how it does with the clamps and slap up photies when it's bolted on there good and proper :D

What colour are you powder coating the rack? Methinks the cream/white of that one you posted on page one is the way to go... :hangloose:

it's a dull silver, the photo is a bit decieving. :)
Was thinking of going for the same flat silver color, think it will go well with all the chrome bits. 8)
Almost done with collecting all the bits I need for her before I think of painting the old girl! (need to extend my garage before paint  )
Still need to find a set of 60's style seats, the ones in her are from a late 70's model :(
And to complete her I want to fit a set of white walls, think they look sooper cool! 8)

Hey that looks great! Thank you for the pics - now I know what to expect mine to look like when I get it :D Fetching the rack on SAT. Daisy is not yet ready though so it looks like I'll have a roof rack to trip over in the lounge for the next few weeks

Keep up the good work :D

You must see the look you get when the rack sits on the couch between you and the wife!

fitted a 60's wiper motor the weekend! :D
Now out of the four sets of wiper arms I have not one seems to sit correctly on the window! :(
The treasure hunting never ends! :hangloose:

Hi Retrobug,

 I don't know how to add a picture to a PM  . I hope you don't mind, but I'm adding the reply I would have sent to your thread.

I don't have any wiper-specific pictures of Daisy's wipers but I did find this (I've tried to blow it up a bit too so you can see what they look like):

- Hope it helps...

Perfect! :hangloose:
Thanks Gavin! :D
Now it seems that some of the wiper arms I have are either not for a Beetle or are LHD!
