Thanks, I remember coming across these a while back...
The grey of my car is a lot darker than those in the pamphlet, am I correct that this was for '69 year models?

My 67 notch is making steady progress, I have ordered lots of restoration parts from Canada and the US. CIP1.com is definetely the best. ISP West is also very good. Generally CIP1.com parts arrive in SA (UPS or DHL) within a week and ISP takes about 14 days (US Postal Service). i even had stuff arrive from overseas faster than stuff ordered from Bloemfontein.
Pro- Auto Rubber is situated in Boksburg. Volkspares, around the corner, in Jet Park has a lost of new and secondhand spares. They will courier if needed. Van Den Brink Motors in Kya Sands has lots of very old and rusted bodies lying around.

I called Volkspares as we get stuff for our '66 Bus from them but they had no Type 3 parts. Will get hold of Pro-Auto Rubber though, need those hatch and frunk seals...

Finding wheel cylinders is turning into a mission of note, the only place that has front cylinders, 311 611 061 /B (Left) and 311 611 062 /B (Right) only, that I have found so far is ISP West but they are NOS and at $85 each I am not willing to take a risk as we still don't know what the correct part number is for my car. Unfortunately there are no part numbers on the front wheel cylinders but Tony did confirm the rears should be 361 611 067A. They are currently 311 611 069 /A which is a size bigger as they are actually Type 1 front wheel cylinders. From research I have done I have found the following wheel cylinder part numbers...
Front Left - 311 611 061 /A/B/C - Type 3 and Type 34 fronts...
Front Right - 311 611 062 /A/B/C - Type 3 and Type 34 fronts...
Rear - 113 611 057B - Type 3 and Type 34 rears...
Rear - 311 611 067 /A/B/C (22.2mm) - Type 3 and Type 34 rears...
Rear - 361 611 067 /A (23.8mm) - Type 3 rears...
Rear - 311 611 069 /A (25.4mm) - Type 3 rears...
ISP West has 311 611 061 (20.56mm) and 311 611 061B (22.2mm) while most other places have 311 611 067C and 361 611 067A...
Can anybody help me with more information?

Hey nic I heard you sold betty for this one? Wow I didn't think you would sell her. I'm selling my golf now too to. Hopefully buy a bay window. I looks like we're converting to aircooled.

Your new car looks very nice. Congrats man.
Thanks bud I actually didn't sell Betty to buy the SB, I sold her for a whole host of reasons and then this popped up an I just couldn't resist. I do miss Betty at times but she is in a great home and being well looked after. Will never get out of watercooled VW's still have the Golf to work on but loving my aircooled VW's at the moment...

Haven't had updates in ages, mainly because there has been absolutely nothing to update. Waiting for parts has been a real ball ache as has getting the brake and master cylinder redone. Just about everything is sorted with the exception of redone carburretor base plates but they are being picked up tomorrow and the brake supplier supplied the incorrect rear brake cylinders so we are waiting for the correct ones. Otherwise we are pretty much there with everything - carbs rebuilt, new exhaust, new plugs, new plug leads, new engine oil, new oil filter, new fuel filter, redone air filter, redone distributor, resleeved front brake cyliners, resleeved master cylinder, new flexible brake lines, new brake fluid, new tie rod ends and a few other bits and pieces...
Hoping to have her back this weekend so I can get started on her roadworthy, licencing and registration as it has been way, way, way too long...

Not familiar with this at all, any information or an explanation...
This is your highly advanced windscreen wash system! Something else, the little lights on the front fender are not indicators.
This is a beautiful car, enjoy it.

Piet, not quite sure what you are on about, any clarification? I can't wait to enjoy her though...
