That's Low! What size tyres are you going for? My car has 195/70's and they touch the body on wild humps!

You have the car this low, but still need to fit all the hardware, Normally, one waits to lower the car when complete, as you still have to add a lot of weight allover the car.

All the best.

There's more to lowering a car than letting down the tyres, isn't there?

LOLO yeah wanna get it as low as possible.. low and slow...
rears i have 185-65-15....and fronts i still haveta get.. but between a 145-65-15 and a 165-60-15, decision will be made on the cheaper of the 2 tyres lololol..if i cannot get those tyres.. gonna go with a 175-50 15......
When u lower it more the rears have alot of negative camber.. so the already inside my wheel well with not touch... still haveta put on all the panels.... so if its to low, ill raise it 1 spline at the back...., assembly starting already..

hehhe yeah im afraid.. wanted to really get it to "sit frame", so this was the next step lololol... i hope to keep it this low, but if not ill be forced to raise the back 1 spline which i dont really wanna do...:(

 mm i likes the sound of that :) the lower the better :hangloose: , seriously, will check when all panels r on... wanna get it as low and well should i sayundrivable as possible..lololol..., the pan im using is rusty and full of holes, so if its damaged im not to bothered with it as im restoring my other pan, this will be more of a trial to c how low i can get it and driving the smoothest rodes i can heheh, which is probably to garagae and back only
I will upload more pics when the panels r fitted i hope to have them fitted tomorrow morning/afternoon.

Thanks for the heads up, ill def check and recheck when all the panels r back on

:hangloose: heheh yip.. the cement bags worked for a while heheheh.
if u a hands on person its not such a big job, after lowering the front \ 3 times to get it to sit kinda even with the back, the 3rd time both fronts took my son and i 30 min, to lower and put tyres etc back on,,,, rears took a bit longer, about 2 hours,(should be a bit quicker the second time around),...will keep it updated... cars beig polished at themoment....

Progress looks great, quite low though, how many splines did you drop it back and front?

Howsit Neuk, front we went 4 or 5 on the inner spline, on the rears i counted 3 splines on the inner spline, but then it was slammed like this, i rechecked this twice....... wheels arrived (broadened a bit) will have it panited next week and ftted..probably the w/e..... car assemebled.... just haveta align some of the gaps now etc... should be almost complete next w/e.......crossing my fngers i dont have any issues popping up now, need to have it sorted for camp fest

I used to roll in a fasty that was lowered two splines. eventually I had to modify the lower beam mounts as they were scraping when hitting undulations in the road. The car was about 10cm of the ground at the beam.

What you are doing here is putting your and passengers lives at risk. When a type 3 is lowered more than 2 splines you are running out of travel in the ball joints and this binding could cause them to break

This is the reason that seriously lowered cars all over the world run king and linkpin front ends as this binding is not present.

Armand

First pot hole or speed bump and you going to leave your spare wheel well behind.
