One of the things car show organiser sukkel with is people leaving early with their vehicles so that by 13h00, there's bugger-all to look at anymore and great big gaps in the displays. Timour Hall insists exhibitors stay until 3 but have a tough time enforcing it, and Whales and Wheels have the same problem. You might want to mention this to the clubs and individuals you've invited. You might want to contact Tom Bishop if you've not already done so, he and his father are in big with the old Ford club and various others.

I've also drawn up a concept for a certificate of participation for those who exhibit their cars on the show. As you enter the showgrounds, the certificate (already signed by the principal of the school hosting the show) is given to you, you fill in your details with an Artline koki, and put the certificate under your wiper for the duration of the show. After the show, it is yours to keep - same way it is done every year at the George Show. How 'bout something like this?

A good idea, if possible get someone with a laminator, and after the certificate's complete, have it laminate before sticking it under the wiper

Camping will be allowed on the school premises. Ablutions will be available, however there are no showers, yet.
However that may change in 8 weeks....
Any takers?

Do we have to register our cars or just arrive on site?
By what time do we need to be there? I see it starts at 9am, are you happy for us to arrive from 08:30 until 9:30am or do we all have to be parked by 9am?
Can we do donuts on the field? What about on the cricket pitch?
Seriously though, we need to know the finer details that effect us.

If possible let us know in advance that you will be attending, that will help us set up the show areas. Monday 20th should be good enough. However, you wont be turned away if you arrive and register on the morning of the show. If you want to camp overnight , please let us know, latest Monday 13th May. There wont be electricity hook ups. R50 per tent.
The gates open at 6am for us to set up. Please be settled in, and ready for the fun when the gates open for the public at 9am.
We will close up the entrance at 2pm. There will pro extreme fighting that evening at the school hall, and these chaps will be setting up from 3pm onwards. We must be clear by then.
Access onto the grass is a simple job, no curb stones to get over. No donuts on the grass please!

the Grounds keeper wont like it.....
There will be cold drinks, food stalls etc, please support them. The funds go directly to the school.
It looks like it is going to be a success. As long as you blokes pitch up!!
