I totally understand, not a problem Wernher..
The only problem with this is the damn exchange rate! (for large parts like a bonnet this is NOT a viable option even if the parts are free, as the shipping is a killer - I was quoted 500 pounds for shipment on the bonnet from VW Heritage)

also seen a1303 bonnet for sale on gumtree in kzn the guy imported it still brand new .

The 1303 can take an upgrade to porsche brakes (vented) & rims from a 924T or 944 quite easily. The glovebox lock is the same as the later 1303 (ie after Aug 73 - th squeeze type like the 1600S, T25s) and it has the porsche symbol covering the keyhole.
