I also think the price is a bit steep for SA
BUT, there are several UK and AUS aircooled enthusiasts lurking on gumtree and Junk mail at the moment and to them it might just be a bargain?

If they want overseas money why don't they just advertise it overseas instead of driving our own local market up the wall and now every one thinks they can screw us with stupid prices, respect given where it is due and no offence intended.(sort of)

I'm suggesting a poll, of sorts...
Those who are critical of the price, please be so kind as to state what you think the vehicle is worth and what you would be prepared to pay for it, as shown & listed.

I had a lot of interest in the car from local SA people, i removed the ad because it looks like i will not be selling her now.
i decided to hang on to her for about 10 more years. As far as the price go's, well its scarce and very cool and how many have you guys seen, try none.
old beetles aand buses are threw the roof with there pricing and to be honest i have had them and so has every body on the forum. so when the only buggy in SA pops up at an affordable rate, because we all know what it costs to restore a basic car like this, it can be done for R30 000 without to much fuss, ask again is R40 000 a lot, well i dont think so, look at a few of these pics of finished cars and tell me you dont want one for R70 000 restored. one of very few original VW Buggy's cars in the word today.mmmmm once its restored i will post a few more photos for people to admire and take her to local cape town car shows.
