Your lights shouldn't be a problem, with those Golf lenses you should be able to fit a very bright halogen bulb. Might be that they are shining a bit high?
Hi Pine, yea, i'm glad i went for the wood Instr panel. CHT I took from the top cyl head bolt of No 3 Cylinder (being the hottest one behind the oil cooler). So I get the temp of the No3 cyl head (left head actually).

The lights were another story alltogether. I had a space problem behind the lenses -no space between front weels and light plugs!!! I edited the VW Golf lenses to accept the normal H4 bulb, as to have bright and dim. So i think the bulb is slightly too close to the front of the lens....dims ok, but bright is big circles!!

Dunno why they didn't make the kit as to accept the normal beetle lights, whould have made life much easier!!! :jerkoff:

I've got a few original photos of racing RSK's from the 50's. They are black & white with some german writing on the back. I'll scan and post them too. They were all silver in color, but beautifull beasts. Did some research some time ago, and these original 718 RSK's developed 150 Hp!! Not bad for a 1600 4 cylinder aircooled engine!!! 8)
