all right allright ....just had a moment of doubt just wanted get peoples opinion of it...but thats in the past now...now the work starts so keep a eye on this thread...and pine i wish i could have a photoshoot of her in the herb-ugg-ie when its finished...but alas you'lle have to settle for a photoshoot of the buggy in is natural habitat, the beach...(theres a little piece of isolated beach that i know off will sneak in there and snap some pics ,when its done that is...)

dubster wrote:hey guys ive been looking at these pics of the sandshark and it its makes me wonder why my buggy doesnt have the buldge and three lines on the bonnet, just like the "kestral" you build in bloem, pine?but that one doesnt look like a kestral because its got narrow sides and the moulded buckets in the back and no buldge on the bonnet?i spoke to the origional owner of the buggy just quickly...and asked him what buggy this is and he said that it was...something kraft... i cant remember the whole name like i said we just spoke quickly...and that the were situated in p.e cause thats were he bought the buggy...anyone know of this place?
My first buggy was called (by people in the beach buggy club, then known as the Wildbuggers) a Kartcraft, and it did not have the moulded seats, did not have the sandshark bulge with lines in it, did have a cubby hole and had rear fender cut outs like you see on the grey buggy, but I always thought they were cut out after, because there are quite a few similar buggies that do not have the cut outs. So I am now confused between Sandsharks, Kestrals and Kartcraft. I'll ask Nic, he had a Sandshark and knows the other also. How about you, Tom? :?

hey guys havent updated this thread in a long time...im currently in pta so i cant take any pics of the buggy as it is right now but i have a photoshoped version of how it looks now and what i oneday, around 2020,want it to look like....

Image

this is exatly how it looks now exept it is stock height like the picture above...

ahhh, and my dream buggy one day.............................................................

Image

p.s im not going with herbie colors anymore, decided against it i like the clean look of the white and the herbie stickers will ruin it.........

will try get bluetooth for my :puterwork: this week and post some pics from my phone of the rollcage build and final paint....

later guys :hangloose:

update

here some pics of the day it was sprayed.........

Image

Image

had some trouble with spray, the place seemed to have given me duco and not 2k   ,but we resprayed it with 2k the next day...

then i went out and bought 6m of 50mm pipe for the rollcage, had it bent and then i started to go leepu(london chop shop guy) on it with the of cuts...and created this....

Image

Image

the thing is that the crossbar wasnt welded and while i was i pta sorting out my college my dad thought it good to weld it for me...only thing is that he welded it much lower than i wanted  ...so i just left i there...i got 2k post office red and sprayed all the bars and stuff...its still got some work but its shaping up now...still little details to clean up...back lights,mags,engine,ect...hopefully ill get that done when i go fetch it this vacation...
