Don't say that please! I was hoping to buy one of those some time.

The body may have its fualts but they are by no means a 'deal breaker' I'd still reather deal with a fiberglass body , which you can easily work on and 'correct' to your own liking quite easily than say a real 356 body with all the hidden rust and other nastiness ! (and it is light years ahead of a cobra  )

You need to back up a comment like that, because upon our last visit to the factory, I saw that they do VERY good work. So unless you have some proof, please don't pop up after 3 posts and say that a company is kakka just because of what you've heard.......

The only thing that I find lacking from replicars is the lack of trim on the cars, but from my understanding Johan is already addressing that one.

My list just gets longer and longer it seems....... I have to get some of that deadening stuff methinks. I wonder if i can source some of it locally. Gazza, has your mate made any progress on the rear valence? No rush, just dont want it lying around your place taking up space.

Hey Kev

The sound deadening stuff is probably the best purchase that I've made for my car so far.

I've passed off the parts to Willem and he should have it done if I'm not mistaken. I'm away this weekend, but I'll pop by his place next weekend as I still need my cars dash pad.

I also made a KILLER discovery this weekened after I drilled into my honda's fuel line to mount and amp (oi vey). I went to buy some pipe to replace the whole unit and found out that I can buy a complete 3 pipe set-up with fuel tank fittings as well as HP fuel filter fittings for about R200-00. This includes also the brake line if I want it as well. Brackets everything.

What's nice about using the Honda set-up is that it includes glavanised pipe that has been encased in a thick strong rubber sleeve and even though the pipes are bent to work on a honda, I found out that the stuff can be bent straight with no issues. This route will make for a much more factory look when mounting and to top it off, we can mount the lines along the rockers, because on our speedy's we have a 10cm or so gap where it can be mounted.

This works out a LOT cheaper than buying pipe and making it from scratch with fittings and flex pipe, the honda set-up has it all, it has a 8mm main feed with fittings as well as a 6mm return line with fittings. Also a nice 8mm brake line which I may end up using to top it off it has 6-7 brackets that are used to attach it to the body.

Stay tuned.

Now that is what I'm interested in!

Whereabouts in PTA did you buy this stuff from? Do you perhaps have an idea which model Honda this pipe is from?

Yup, it's got me Uber fired up as the pipe quality is way better than the copper/ brass HP pipe that I was considering.

I'm picking it up on friday and the price may actually come in a bit under R200-00. I'll have mine before the weekend and then I can take pictures to show what it consists of. Check the length though as I'm running mine on the side of the car and on the honda it runs the shortest route down the middle, next to the exhaust.

Comes from Honda Spares in Van Der Hoff Road. 012-3772995. You want to speak to Justin or Gary.

Tell them that Gary referred you, he'll know what pipe I'm on about then. If not then you want the pipes from the SR4 EFI models. Make sure that it has the fuel tank fittings as well as the HP fuel filter fittings as well.

If you don't mind, will you be able to measure the pipe when you get it?

I'd like to run it in the inside of the tunnel in the Fastback. And if the length is right, I will go and buy one this weekend :)

Pulling the gearbox this coming weekend, so I might as well just run the lines etc at the same time

Will do, I know that I had to drop the back seat and wiggle the pipe into my honda and therefore is at least 3m long even with the kinks in it. Remember if you're going EFI, you need the main and the return lines.

I'll update you when I get my old line back this afternoon.

I'm not going EFI straight away, but I think that I'll install the lines now, while everything is apart so later on it won't be such a headache...

BB, the return line which is the shortest line on the car is a little over 2.5 meters without the rubber connectors front and back which would add about another 50cm's on. The longest line which is the main line is over 3.5m long.

I straightened out the line last night in a vice and it looks almost perfect. I'm glad that I've found this. I checked on my car and the line is more than long enough, but bear in mind my pan has been shortend, but I'm going around the side of the car and not down the middle like you.
