Re: New Members - Introduce yourself..
Hi Guys.
My name is Deon. I'm from PE originally, living in Ireland for the last 16 years, but plan to move back home in about 2 years when my youngest finishes school. Just bought a house in PE in preparation for my return home. Also bought a couple of Ghias (4) over the last 6 months for my toys. 2 from Cape Town, 1 from Jo'Burg, and 1 from Durban. Only recently took an interest in the VDub scene, haven't really had the opportunity before now to get involved.
Been doing a lot of research before deciding what exactly to do to the ghias to improve them, but find a lot of useful information on this site. Great site!

Hi fellow Veedub fans
I am Riaan. Thanks for welcoming me to your site. I have a lot to learn and am eager to do so. I am currently busy with a Rotary Beetle project (Please stop throwing stones). I know I know.... everybody has one, had one, or has a buddy with a very fast one. Well, I'd like to be that buddy. The idea behind the madness is to go the NA route and not install a 13B turbo as allmost everybody are doing. I have a 12A NA engine ready to be installed in a 1974 beetle.
I placed an order for a disk brake kit at calooker yesterday. Can't wait to get it. Its like waiting for Christmas to come. YEAH! I am still looking for a rev counter though. But I need a specific type and look. It must be 3 - 5 inches big, black in color, with white number markings, and a red needle. It needs to be the type that can be fit into the dashboard directly. I have searched about everywhere. Midas and Autozone has several Auto Guage counters, but each one with more bling then the previous one. Dont want that. So if you have any ideas, please drop me a reply.
Enough said, will keep you posted on the build
Regards
Riaan

Re: New Members - Introduce yourself..
Hi, im Wade
Im not really new to the forum, you see, im Forcecooled's son.
I've been a bug lover for a while now. My first bug was a red 1970 bug, unfortunatley that one was stolen at Kyalami race track. Now i terrorise the suburbs in my ice-cream white 1970 beetle.
the only mods i have on my bug are twin SP carbs, TNT 4 into 1 pipe, lowered front beam and a 009 dizzy.
I work for Evolution 2 motorsport where we build and prepare race cars, mainly bmw's.
I know a few people on the forum, Merlin, Sambabus, Red-m, Pine, Didi, Vuyo, Callooker and Klippie (who i had a fantastic drag race with two weeks ago thursday night).
So To all the people here and Vader
Hello!
P.s: Pine, whats happening with that ghost hunt?
