Hi all :hangloose:

I stay in the Western Cape and own a fantastic 1967 beetle that I am going to restore starting on Monday 23/10/09. I've had my beetle "rusty" for three years now and have final conviced the landlord (my dad) to give me garage space for the task that lies ahead.
I am going to try document my restoration as much as I can and post pics.
Chat soon.

Welcome to the family young ones. We love to see your rides, hear all the good things that happen in/to them, and more'ver, we like for you to not tell us craplike it's original, unless you haven't changed the tires since it left the factory

Wanna see my original? :hangloose:

Hi Guys!

Great forum, its nice to know that there is a place to turn to if help is needed.

I am currently restoring 2 x 1967 german imports and i can tell i will be using advise and wisdom from you guys! and maybe finding parts if needed. In order to fund the restoration of one of them i need to sell my 1958 single cab. where do i advertise on this site. I had someone offer me a price from OZ but idealy i would prefer it to stay in SA.

Cheers guys!

Justin

Welcome Justin.

I'm glad to see you're restoring some of your buses instead of selling them all. Although your 58 SC is worth it, I doubt you'll realise your price in SA. You'll probably have to export it. There are buses that have sold to locals for that kind of price, but I think you'll find people on these forums don't have big enough wallets.

Howzit Fig,

Funny enough i ran into someone in Van Der Bijl park who was a member of the Kaapse KK with a black and white 76 fleetline, he told me to get in touch with you in particular, funny how small the world is! I am flexible on price, i just really dont want to export it, i think it belongs here in SA. who knows, someone may have been searching for this very vehicle for ages as i know these 58's are as rare as hens teeth!
