Noobs, if you want to get away from saying hi in this forum correctly, start a random thread saying something like this

Hi all

I don't own an air cooled but my dad does :oops: . Its a white '69 Fastback with the sand/grey interior.

He actually inherited the vehicle from one of his customers when she passed on (God bless her). The car's been standing in the garage for many years now as the exhaust is completely rusted and beyond repair.

I've joined the forum to help him source the part but I will defn. post some pics and the story of how he came upon the car which was printed in the VW staff magazine (if he'll permit me).

If anyone can help with the part it would be gr8tly appreciated.

I will have a look for you, might have a standard Type 3 exhaust somewhere....
