if you dont have a temp sender in your engine, go with a infra red temp gun, aimed at your sump. I suppose you could tape a normal thermometer to the sump if its clean enough, but I wouldnt put one into the engine in case you break it.

I have a feeling that mine might be running a bit warm,but maybe I'm wrong.All the cooling tin is in place,and the seal is there.
They say that if you are able to pull the dipstick with the engine idling, without burning blisters on your hands, the engine is not too hot.

Bloody sea-air stuffs up everything.Those are new bolts :evil:

I'm going to have to spray everything with a clearcoat.

Pull them off, clean them of the rust (properly) Get some silicon spray and spray them or cover them completely in Vaseline. Should do the job.
