Howzit, just reading this thread for the first time !

What did you do with the interior, have you got pics of the original interior panels, upholstery, etc, etc ?
Also confused by the colour issue - did the first owner buy it as a red bus and then apply the white (to the top section) ? Did he then respray it at a later stage as the "as found" (under the tree) photos show it as being one colour only ?

And the hubcaps, do you have close up pics of the original colour anywhere ?

Shot - cool bus :hangloose:

Hi Jolas

I can take pics of the interior it is still the originla panels and original front seat. Will post them tomorrow hopefully.

As for the colour of the bus. He ordered the bus as a red and white Combi he waited something like 8 months for the bus. Now from what I understand is VW SA only had the Delux in the two tone. Now the owner stated that once he took the bus back to VW they said there is something wrong with the paint and had to bring back the bus. He did and when they finished it it came back as a sinlge white. Must have been a corporate VW mind set that all combi's must be single colour or something.

My dask and interior of the bus is still original colour and will take some pics of that as well.

Thanks, appreciated - also - if it is still there, the middle "jump seat" and the little "back rest", are they the same colour as the seats ? Cheers

Hi Jolas

Sorry could not find my camera last night. Will get the pics the weekend. Unfortunately the back seats was not there when I got the bus. I did buy a baywindow that my dad is currently driving that had back seats that is in Flossie. It seems that my bus did have the jump seat. So the back seats are the only stuff that is not original in my bus.
