OK, now we're talking. Do you know if the camper kit is home made, or an official Westfalia conversion, or something else?
Post some pics already! I'm curious about what you've got!

As far as i know its standard. Its got the slatted windows similar to the ones on the kombi in the pic i posted earlier. I know nothing about the details of the car, thats why im on here. Also, i can only get into the place where its stored when i move into my new place for various reasons, so There wont be some pics for a while...Sorry guys

So to try and give some straight answers.....
For local parts I use a guy called Dave Rowley in Killarney Gardens.....or you can use Volkspares. Nearly all parts have to be imported, but things like bearings, rubbers, glass can all be made in SA. For imported parts, I use CIP1.com in the USA.
Your bus as fig says seems later than a 54. Few questions as you can't get pictures at the moment.....
1) Do you remember if the VW emblem on the front was pressed in the metal or was a added badge type?
2) Do you remember the shape of the rear lights......were they long like Mo? (my bus)
3) Do you remember what the front indicators looked like? Where they pointy ones or oval and flat?
or
4) Do you remember how the door handles opened the front doors? a push button or did you pull the whole handle?

Some of us actually work during daytime hours, hence the hour of my post
Excuse Dutch for all the pics, he is just showing off his stunning bus - Mo while he still lives in a country with sunshine.
Muds, you and your swamp cooler pics hijacking other threads, it's gotta stop ! How much ?

(Sweet DC btw

)
With that, welcome Paladin, you have us all curious, now drive out there and take those pics !
ps. For your sake, I hope it's not a fleetline, else Pine will let loose the "rocket launcher"
