The Scoob bug got its torsion bars fitted.

I will need to give the project more time and stop having fun in the sun with my Thing.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the torsion bar work as the shock?

Dutch_Diver, technically speaking, not really. A Bug can be driven around without Shocks in the front, but it makes a very harsh ride and as far as I understand it, it leaves the car vurlnable (sp?) to 'front end float' on higher speeds....

A shock is designed to resist the "bounce" that torsion bars cause... Its a movement damper .... it should allow movement but resist bouncing

Ok before we destroy Uncle Tom's thread with our discussions, lets first wait to see if he is indeed running shockless and if so he is definatly running it the wrong way.

Shock tower are going back. If you look carefully, you will see them on the top of the tunnel.

but, they will be shorter and fitted with Mini Shocks. I will be Channelling the body over the chassis and dont want the Towers sticking through the body.
