The challenge

This one is loose inside and out
Need to get the correct clamps
Will try secure the inner first as the outer has torn quite badly
Plan will be to get inner on then test on door and bash the bent away bits on the outer and fix - well thats the plan anyhow

Well got the call from the doctor -Jurgen
Was not listening properly as I have had a mare of a morning - what with a load of chickens getting stuck on the pass
So as Jurgen was telling me that the state of the engine was bad I was already throwing it in the dam because of the previous few hours

Being slightly more attentive to the details
Bad for Grand Slam and good for me
Seems the previous owner was not lying when he said he'd only done 500 km or miles with the engine
For those of you's that know Mr Jurgen - it does not happen that an engine will be sommer put back together again

Luckey the Abbatoir for the birds is right nexto the shop so will have to go and have a look and get some pics
will replace with new rings and looking for a 200 flywheel

Regarding the pannels and floor bits that need come off

I feel like a teenager thats trying to work out the bra hinge

Dont want to be to rough but I know the bugger must come off

Had a look at a cool project on the Samba but yes like a ^&*%*&%% did not mark the page
will have a look to see if I can track it down

Last post on pesky little buggers - having to moer the old impact tool !
One by No8 socket and impact bit and tool and you are laughing
Driver door hinge bolts not even a minute
Tommorow will be play day with the rest of the bolty things and maybe even get the front end off

Also got a sabre saw with spare blades - no stopping me now

Play with the bolty things yeah right
Cargo door front -no problem
Rear top no problem
Bottom one broke the impact bit on the top one so weld on a new head as you know you need the length to get past the side sill
Last one totally screwed so had to go old school and weld on a bolt and slowly ease the %$%%#@$ out

Tried rear doors and pop outs but seems will need some more patience
Got roof lining out and hit back the dings from the thorn tree lying on top

So ta ease the removal came up with a cunning plan as lying on the floor and trying to get the gearlink loose was trouble enough

Use your head warwick its a farm !!
So one by forklift with fork extentions
One by Apple bin
And there you have a much better space to work with

Now just to see if this helps getting that damn gearlink loose

Well got the link loose so can proceed with the front axle and get him out

Having so much fun with the new work zone
seems much better standing up and working than laying on the deck
So next task will be to get the back bits out -gearbox and all
Will make job easy for cleaning
