Thanks Tony ,but thy were the first people i phoned and its a no go.Thy only stock the covered panel one that slides in.

This took me more than 6 hours to do by hand,the gunk was like concrete, engine cleaner warm soak,petrol soak, high pressure cleaner NOTHING WORKED

I have been looking for the reason way the bus went of the road into the garage(1982) and only came out when i bought it ,well to date the only thing i can find is that the advance in the distributor is locked shut like fort Knox`s.
So the PO must have given up struggling i think

I cut them for myself at the moment , once i get the perfect fit i will put some up for sale(nobody likes a bad repo fit)
The super wood i cut in the photos is just a sample and for use when covering the panels,i will be cutting birch panels and then sanding sealer them for my crew cab

So when I wiped the bellhousing clean just before the fit, low and behold the starter bush was in pieces :drunks: :drunks:
Lesson learnt, clean the bellhousing when removing engine
