Hi my name is Michael. I am from Witbank. I own a yellow Lollete beach buggy, it is fitted with a 2.5l subaru turbo engine. I also made a custom bonnet in front where the radiator hides with a custom flame wrap across the bonnet. It runs on 18 inch wolfrace wheels.

Regards.

Hi Everyone,

I'm sure I've spoken to most of your over the phone by now as I've been round the world and back again looking for spares for my daughters VW Beetle.

I convinced my daughter to buy a 1968 Beetle for R13 000, baring in mind what I know about cars is dangerous. The reason was simple, she needed transport and she was wasting her whole pay cheque every month on who knows what, so I said use the money to pay off a car and see it as a forced saving when the cars' paid off you will have an asset.
Didn't I feel like an idiot when after she'd paid off R9000 she crashed the car beyond repair, and now had nothing to show for months of sacrificing her pay cheque.

OK the hunt then began for another cheap beetle that I could swop the best bits of her crashed beetle with so at least she would see some benefit.
Talk about a sucker for punishment, I bought an "Unfinished" project from some guy, car arrived shell on wheels with engine and a box of bits, it was at that point that I knew I had bitten off more than I could chew, but being stubborn I have stuck with the project and am close to finishing.

I will post pictures of both cars.

Cheers for now
Antony

Hi Guys,

So I have been what you will call a lurker for quite some time, I don't have a beetle, well not really, It's a shell with no Engine or gearbox. Think it's a '74 but I might be mistaken. I'm actually looking into building a V-Rod, when there is eventually funds and time. So far it's an idea in the mind. I currently have limited skills in cars, welding etc, so It might just take me forever to get it done. I do love reading about everyone else's projects though, i'm a knowledge freak.
I look forward to one day joining in on discussions, but for now I shall return to prowling around and soaking up the knowledge.

Regards
Dash

Welcome to all the new guys. Don't just lurk, rant away. If you don't know what to say, go to the FOR SALE section and complain about the prices!!!
Better still, call dibs on everything that pops up on GIVE AWAY and you will have parts quickly for your projects.

See, I have just made a post :-)
