Hi guys
I am a newbie on this site and would like to get more involved in the VW car club environment. I own a 1973 VW beetle since 1993. Rebuild it from 93 to 96 and drove it for about 2 years till 98. I then moved from the Free State to Gauteng and parked the car in a garage on a farm in the Free State in 98. I fetched it a few weeks ago 13 years later. lol Just to show how reliable it is, only took a new battery and some filters and is running like a charm.
I currently live in Centurion in Pretoria and would like to join a club in the area, any suggestions?
Cheers

Hi All, I have found out that giving up active work is more about keeping yourself busy, than financial. I am fortunate enough to have the latter covered reasonably well. My fascination with VW's started when my very yuppie daugther re-kindled an old bank of memories about the fun we have in my sisters beetle. Since then I have been blessed with being able to get hold of a 1956 Convertible, and recently a 1969 Bay window bus. Both are work in progress at the moment. Once I've fathomed out how to put pic's onto the site, I will do, so watch this space !! I only found out about ACVW yesterday, so hoping that I can get good advice from the guys in white coats with thick glasses and long beards. By the way, I have absolutely no mechanical knowledge, just an eye for all things beautiful, so the help will come in handy. Till later Ciao !! PC
