hey guys

I'm Vaughn.

i'm a good mate of Vuk's, and he said I should join the forum too!!!

we're both into cars and do most of the work on our cars ourselves!!!

he's helped me plenty on my nissan 200sx driftcar, and i've helped him a bit with his beetle!!!

my dad has a beetle that myself and another friend built with modified bodywork (smoothed), mags, disc brakes up front, and a stock standard rotary turbo in the back, running on stock mazda ECU!!! we used VW parts for the cooling system, so its not really aircooled anymore.

i hope you guys are open to modded, engine converted bugs too!!!

cheers.

The biggset wackhead and speedfreak on this forum has a Rotary in the back of his beetle.

But I suppose we have to tollerate him,he is not that bad, although Vuyo says he runs the chopshop that Vuyo started.

Hi all name is Donovan..
Live in JHB south, I still have my first bug which I am about to turn into a racer..Have had the luck to source an ex off road racing engine which once powered a sandmaster. Type 4, 2.7 litre, dry sumped, dual 44 idfs, ali barrels, possibly nickies, porsche fan...should produce over 200hp :D Just bought today some scrappy glass doors from volkspares and a 411 for the IRS gbox (anyone done this conversion) a mate is taking the 1.7. Hope to meet some of you sometime soon..the contacts have already been useful...
