Good day members

awesome site/forum

My name is Suman...I am an aircooled addict, until only recently managed to get my hands on 1958 Beetle, which needs alllot of work, but need to get this baby restored to its former glory

my everyday driver is a BMW f30 (don't delete me of the site lol)

have a massive amount of friends who are VW fanatics and heavily on the tuning scene, recently persuaded them to be cool...aircooled...

looking forward to all the help and discussions

regards Suman

Hi, and welcome Suman, and all other newbys, all aircooled addicts are welcome and totally among fellow vw junkies.

The thing about the BMW..... well, we will make as if we did not see that, as I am sure its a type-o

Open a project thread, and lets hear and see it all happen in lots of posts.

Herman

New member without any Aircooled vehicle....soon though! Untill I own one, I'll be browsing and familiarize myself with terms and do's/don't.

I'm active on a couple of forums, hope to meet some familiar names here too! 8)

Good morning!

I am Ewald. I am new on this forum, but not new to Beetles.

In fact- my grandmother bought my 1968 1500 brand new, when I was 1 year old. I know this car my whole life long. I inherited it when my grandmother died in 1985.

Since new it has only done 89000 km. But it stood in the wind and rain a lot. And now I am busy restoring it to pass it on to my son, the 4th generation of our family who will drive it.

Hello everyone!

I am Rolf from Berlin, Germany.

I register to this forum to study the differences and specifics of the south african bay window models.

At my German websites you will find a lot of brochures and documents online - as well two south africans till now:

Welcome Rolf and all others.

Rolf, can you tell me if there are any decent shows in Germany between 1 and 15 July this year?

Hello Tony,
Tony Z wrote:Rolf, can you tell me if there are any decent shows in Germany between 1 and 15 July this year?
There are some smaller meetings (holyday time), I think the meeting in Nürnberg (East/South Germany, Bavaria) could be the biggest of them:

4.-6., "Küstendrive 2014", at 21706 Krautsand (near Hamburg, North Germany), http://www.kuestendriver.de
5.-6., "24. Dresdner Käfertreffen", at 01847 Lohmen (near Dresden, East Germany), http://kaeferclub.webstudio-dresden.de/
5.-6., "5. Beastie Bug-In, Käfer meets US-Car", at 76327 Pfinztal-Berghausen (near Karlsruhe, West Germany), http://www.beastie-bugs.de
6., "26. Steintribünentreffen", 90471 Nürnberg (East/South Germany), http://ktn-ev.de/wb/pages/steintribuene.php/
11.-13., "16. Mühlheimer Käfer- und Oldtimertreffen", 63165 Mühlheim am Main (near Frankfurt, center of Germany), http://kaeferfreunde-muehlheim.de

The biggest Aircooled Meeting with thousands of cars is in Hannover every year at 1st of May: http://www.kaefertreffen.de
(this photo from the website shows only a part of the show: http://www.kaefertreffen.de/content_pho ... c_0350.jpg)
