hello, my is Brett and I have recently bought a 1971 Kombi Transporter with a 1600l engine. Her name is Bloemejie and I've fallen head of heals in love with her. I just come back from a weekend in Greyton, shes resting now after transporting myself, the gf, her mother and 4 dogs in her. Bloem missing a few little parts and pieces here and there, nothing major. I trying to get her back to being 100% orginal with the minor upgrade where necessary. I would like to find them in SA before having to import them from Just Kampers, well the ones they have atleast.
Hope to be meeting some of you soon. Warick already came to find me in a farmstall in Grabou! Big Up.
ps. Thank you to Ano from Andreno motors for all the work his done thus far, she drove drove like a mule to Villiersdorp and like a race horse home not to mention she was very thirsty on the petrol too. THANK YOU.

Hey Guys :hangloose:

New here to the forum. Dont have any VW's YET :( but I have been interested in the early model vw's for a while now. Might be looking for a small project, but only time will tell. My old man had a beetle once upon a time but alas we had to sell it.
Really like the Early Split window kombi's as well as the Beetles. This is just an intro for now. Will update my profile as i go along.

Regards
Rowan

Hi guys

I am completely new to the world of aircooled VW's, I am use to Defender and old series land rovers, so this is a nice new challenge for me :-)

she still needs a lot of work, but I am super excited to get started :-)

Hey Benson. Welcome mate. I too used to play around with a few landies (had an exmilitary s3 r6 tdi defender and then a td5 disco = :bn: ), and I can tell you that you've made a good choice in going over to aircooled vw. Less breakdowns, and waaaay cheaper to have fun in these things. I'll always be a landy nut, but enjoying my volksie too much! Great project you've got there. Good luck!

Thanx man. I still have a td5 (daily drive) and a 1962 series 2 in the yard. Plenty to keep me out of trouble
