Hi all,
Well I live in Mossel Bay, and after many discussions with the misses I recieved the ok to once again buy a Buggy. I bought a Kango with 1600 single port. I got it on Friday evening and since been fidlling around, and looks like I did the coil, after connecting the positive to the neg on the coil. So what a nice start to this project as I purchased a Electronic module to replace the point and condesor from flat four racing in Cape Town 2 weeks ago I really hope I did not blow the module.

I HOPE to get a lot of info and advise from you guys and if I could help, someone here I will not hesitate to do so.

Hi Everybody.

My name is Tim Romans; and although I'm not actually a new member here, I have been away for quite a long time, so I thought I'd do the decent thing and reintroduce myself. I've been working on and off for the past several months on a hot rod style Kestral beach buggy. Unfortunately, near the end of last year I was made redundant and was forced to put a hold on my recreational activities, including the buggy build. I've now recently started getting my life back on track so hopefully I'll be able to start giving updates on the Kestral again.
Thanks for having me here; this forum is always a great source of inspiration and entertainment for me.
Chat soon,

Ciao

I never got a chance to introduce myself since I moved back to SA and to Pretoria to study and it's been busy. I'm originally for Cape Town so getting used to life in the north is a big adjustment.

Here's my daily ride: supposedly a 2.1 wassboxer but it might actually be a 1.9. I needed something affordable that wouldn't be a hijack target and this was my solution. I'm a long time mk1 owner and this is my first of the older VW's. Of course it has many niggles but I plan to iron them out.

Hi folks,

Sorry to jump right to business but I need help ASAP

do beetle engine numbers that were brought into SA ever start with a SFA*D*R prefix, or exclusively with a SFA*B*R prefix??

-thanks

the engine numbers you refer to start with AD or AB
SF indicates that it was rebuilt at some point
