I heard mine shouting through the garage door that I must fix her and take her for a hard drive.... ignored her cause she seems to be on her period still, I'll get around to her next week once all things are better

Woke up this morning and decided Im Taking my Thing to Hermanus in stead of my every day car.

Best Idea I ever had in my life. Took the coast road, Stopped in Gordon Bay to see a Client and Bettys Bay for Coffee & Cake.

Took Flossie yesterday for a spin around the block as she is finally on the E-natis system so that was her last ilegal run as the next time She goes on tar she will go for road worthy(First weekend in April). And Flossie went to go say hi to Marigold (Coop).

I spent the whole of yesterday and a good chunk of today rewelding the clutch tube in my 914. this is probably the most irritating job to do on any ACVW but more so on the 914 as the feul lines and most upholstery needs to be removed. the tube was broken loose at the firewall and in tw places in the tunnel which meant I had to cut acces holes and weld them shut again (praying that there is no fire) I am also using this opportunity to have the seats redone

Replaced fuel pipes with some new higher pressure pipes, snipped some wire in the process and have one loose hanging terminal and dont know where that goes, she aint starting now, not sure if it is the cable lying there...

Removed steering wheel for resto, also removed incorrect stork....

Fitted finger plates to the '58 and actually washed the Ghia project so that I can restart working on her tomorrow!!

Painted Buggered gearbox hammered black. After first taking the Dremel to the casting imperfections. looked at fitting my two extra gauges to the dash, not going to work how i wanted it to but can make a plan. played with the mixture on the silver puma, timing as well. Got questions on both of those. going out now, will ask later. also a fender related question...

Seeing as I'm nowhere near the Transformer, I did some shopping, bought some schweet eyes of an angel to shine some light upfront, some LEDs for some accent lighting inside, a 4" dvd player and some speaker goodies, now to instal, soon as the easter weekend comes around.

Tom, that really is the life...I tell you when I look at these pics it makes me wanna move to CT more and more...I just need that spark you know to light it off....

I started preparing Betty for our trip to the South Coast this coming weekend. Fitted new window winders as the ones from GW are really . Added a new fuse box for the second battery and added some 12Vdc plug points on the dash for GPS and cell phone. Will add the one's for the dvd and the fridge in the back tomorrow and lastly mounted the fire extinguisher properly
