How about introducing yourselves and saying hi???
Hi, my name is Peter Hulley i live on the KZN South Coast in Southport, i have been an avid Beetle fan for many years and bought, fixed and sold so many of them, i cant even remember.
I was off the Beetle for a long time, but as we all know, Once That Bug Has Bitten...
So here i am, i just bought my umpteenth Beetle, a 1970 1600 Single Port.
i am intending keeping this one, as they are becoming very hard to get of late
I happen to find this site by chance and joined, thank you for accepting me, i am sure we gonna have many chats.
I got myself into a very big project here, but am so looking forward to it.
I JUST LOVE THESE CARS!!!!!!

Welcome guys
If you are looking for a bus, the prices are busy climbing incredibly fast. Keep an eye out and if money is tight, dont rule out getting a baywindow or a T25 as these are not "popular" yet

Hey Tony!

After my first 2 junk-bugs which i restored by myself i bought last year this bug which is in perfect condition. It was a bargain cause the seller had to sell it very quickly. All was done before on the car by the seller.

There are some Kamei Spoiler on ebay: http://www.ebay.de/sch/i.html?_from=R40 ... r&_sacat=0

Have a nice day!

Eric

I have been thinking of getting a Kamei spoiler from Remelle or Hoffman. Apparently Hoffman has them plastic injection moulded, but he wont ship outside of Europe.

Hi all!

New member, but old VW fan! My Grossvater owned an mid-60's split window which my father drove as a 22 year old; growing up I often travelled in my uncle's baywindow & that of a friends', until I bought a 2.3 T3 Microbus. I then drove T4 & T5's for a living, eventually buying my own 1.9 Tdi T5 and now a 2.0 Tdi T5103 Kw.
Recently I acquired a 1967 Split window which I'm busy restoring slowly - currently the engine is being worked on (a 1600 twin port) to get the vehicle mobile in order to start work on the body.

Looking forward to sharing pictures, advice & interest! Harald
