...but this one is the most expensive buggy ever built. Hasn't moved an inch the past 38 years, currently for sale with extremely low mileage, but buyer to collect

The Lunar Roving Vehicle had a mass of 463 lbm (210 kg) and was designed to hold a payload of an additional 1,080 lbm (490 kg) on the lunar surface. The frame was 10 feet (3 m) long with a wheelbase of 7.5 feet (2.3 m). The maximum height was 3.75 feet (1.1 m). The frame was made of aluminum alloy 2219 tubing welded assemblies and consisted of a three-part chassis which was hinged in the center so it could be folded up and hung in the Lunar Module quad 1 bay. It had two side-by-side foldable seats made of tubular aluminum with nylon webbing and aluminum floor panels. An armrest was mounted between the seats, and each seat had adjustable footrests and a Velcro seatbelt. A large mesh dish antenna was mounted on a mast on the front center of the rover. The suspension consisted of a double horizontal wishbone with upper and lower torsion bars and a damper unit between the chassis and upper wishbone. Fully loaded the LRV had a ground clearance of 14 inches (35 cm).

It should be in excellent condition, no rust, will need a battery though.

Some years ago, my family owned a W115 240D. What a magnificent car!

The ride on the highway was simply unbelievable. We did quite a few trips between Pretoria and Durban with absolutely no issues at all. 110 KM/H the entire way, and it only had something like 48 Kilowatts

Sadly, the injector pump decided to give up and die and so the car was practically given away to some guy who was going to fix it up

Stroke 8s Coupes still do pop up from time to time at reasonable prices, but the normal sedans are extremely easy to find.

If you watch The Baader Meinhof Komplex, there are quite a few of them that were used. (Quite a few ACVWs as well! )

first and on top the ford sierra xr8, my dad crashed his so the chances of me ever getting one is slim....(ps. i see they are also being exported by the poms!!!!! )



second this is probaly one of my dads biggest wishes but i wouldnt at all making it mine....its the italian car with 351 ford power,baby!!!!!!!!!!!the de tomasso panterra....





and third this one may become true oneday as there is one sitting in our garage waitting restoration....it is suposed to be a father son projaect and the out come i WISH would look like this....its a 48' ford anglia or "pop"

I'm not an Italian car fan/expert, but I have always had a soft spot for the Alfa Montreal..
Have seen one or two in SA to date, all at car shows though.

The Alfa Romeo Montreal was introduced as a concept car in 1967 at Expo 67, held in Montreal, Canada. Originally, the concept cars were displayed without any model name, but the public took to calling it The Montreal. It was a 2+2 coupe using the 1600 cc engine of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti and the chassis of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT, with a body designed by Marcello Gandini at Bertone.

The first production car, Tipo 10564, was shown at the 1970 Geneva Motor Show and was quite different from the original, using a 2593 cc 90° dry-sump lubricated V8 engine with SPICA (Società Pompe Iniezione Cassani & Affini) fuel injection that produced around 200 bhp (150 kW), coupled to a five-speed ZF gearbox and a limited-slip differential. This engine was derived from the 2-litre V8 used in the 33 Stradale and in the Tipo 33 sports prototype racer. The chassis and running gear of the production Montreal were taken from the Giulia GTV coupé and comprised double wishbone suspension with coil springs and dampers at the front and a live axle with limited slip differential at the rear.

Since the concept car was already unofficially known as The Montreal, Alfa Romeo kept the model name in production.

Stylistically, the most eye catching feature is the car's front end with four headlamps partly covered by unusual "grilles", that retract when the lights are switched on. Another stylistic element is the NACA duct on the bonnet. The duct is actually blocked off since its purpose is not to draw air into the engine, but to optically hide the power bulge. The slats behind the doors contain the cabin vents, but apart from that only serve cosmetic purposes.

The Montreal remained generally unchanged until it was discontinued in 1977. By then, production had long ceased already; as Alfa were struggling to sell their remaining stock. Total number built was 3917; none of them were sold in Montreal, Quebec since Alfa did not develop a North American version to meet the US/Canadian emission control requirements. A Montreal can be seen in 1974 The Marseille Contract movie where Michael Caine drives a metallic dark brown example.

I had one of those mercs,a 280,i think it couldve been a 280s,cant remember,it spent its life in a garage,used to go to church every sunday,one owner,57000 km on the clock,not even a crack on the dash!...and a full service history up till 56000kms....then I had to sell it

Hloni, whats the difference between:
In addition to the walk, trot and canter, the Basotho has two additional gaits, the tripple and pace.
