PS: For the record--3 aircooled cars, and the are all being repaired at the moment!! The water cooled ones are far more reliable!!

Easy for you to talk, as you the one that had the only pair of shoes from our area,when taking the Aircooled cars to repair.
Next week is MY TURN........
Why would you need a bridge if you have no cars to go over it ..................

Must apologize for no feed back for a bit , but due to all the public holidays, and lack of desire to work by the factory guys , progress has been slow.

Did manage to complete mould changes, now awaiting machine time, should be within 24 hr,

Should test be acceptable, run will follow in few days.

As far as shipping, weight will mainly be packaging, as well as size, hate to hazard a guess. Some one in shipping ???

Have done trial dash today.
Will be doing trimming and fault finding over weekend,
Still not quit there as we need to fit mould into bigger machine to get rid of small ridge.
will be taking photos ( without shocks ) and posting them here on sunday.
This will be with gauges fitted. (NICE)

Hi YaALL,
Have not put mould into BIG machine for run of dash, as yet.

But have checked the dimensions and CLOCK fitment on the mould change "test run" units.

Good to report all fit, dash fits, as per some teasers here,







Waiting for BIG Machine fitment, then the webs will be gone as well.

They look great, and i think better with out the speaker Holes, should also make them stronger as all thee of mine are broken in the speaker.

Hehe dont think we get small enough speakers today to fit under the dash anymore

Looking good If I did not have Elvis`s dash recovered in Leather 2 years ago I would have bought one of these as well

GOOD NEWS ALL,

The NEW Type 3 Dash has been made, and could not be better.
Herewith a photo of the DASH untrimmed, as it comes from the mould.
Should you be an PERFECTIONIST then you may want to cut it out, and trim it your self.
I will be trimming out this one and posting photos here over the week end, so you will be able to see it fully trimmed.
will also post trimming, cutting, filling, fitting options on this thread with the trimmed photos, then all may let me know how and how many,they want, but please wait for the NEXT post before ordering, as I would like you to see what you get, and what you pay for.





This has been hard work, lots of engineering, but if I can save all the Type 3 from looking like then its all been worth while

We are still in for 3 yes that is THREE - not much given all the hard work that you have put into this project

HOWEVER, we are also happy to donate a spare pair of shoes to your cause, all you have to do is give YOUR shoe size, so that no one else can take them off you - maybe you have a special INSERT that needs to be fitted??? Like NEW socks, especially since you have had to share with OTHERS
