So now I have my Link Pins, as well as the King pin bushes, and all the seals.

So now we will complete the front axle with all its Mechanical goodies back to 100% as the day it come off the line in 1976 in Brazil.

The Pressure re leave oil pump cover for my new 30 mm oil pump, so all is ready for the type 4 engine.

Yes, its still going into this here ride, WITHOUT upright fan........

And now those of you that are squeamish, should stop reading now, ..........

Am busy with the Steering wheel conversion for the bus, have turned the boss and will be fitting it to the fully padded, contoured OPEL wheel, and yes, I will be fitting a VW badge to it.

So maybe we will have more photo's for you after this week and, should the rain hold off for once.

Started with the steering box, striped replaced bearings and seal where I could.
Then I got a Swivel Pin from Jurgens at Grand Slam, with the bushes.
Then I got Tie Rod ends from Midas and the Drag Line rod Ends from Midas but out of a unmarked box, not sure what car they were for???? Welded some on and others where screw on.
Then I imported the Link Pins with needle bearings from http://www.bustoration.com with the 4 Bushes for the king pin knuckles, as well as the 8 seals needed for the knuckles.
The Pressure re-leave valve cover for the oil pump came from http://www.glenberg.com
The brake slave kits from my "Little Shop of Rubbers" as well as the brand New Slave for the one wheel.
Wheel Bearings from BMG (old Bearing Man) as well as all the seals for the wheels and Reduction Box.
Drums and shoes by Dynamic Brake
Labour by "This Dirty Old Man".........

Hope it helps

The King Pin Knuckle is not like a Beetle, it comes apart into 4 sections, and each joint has a seal so you need 8, I got 10 but you need 8
The 4 for the link pins comes with the link pin set.
Will have to send you photo to show how it works.

Right, so an other weekend doing the small stuff, getting the bus ready for the engine.
All the wheels are back on, with bearings, seals and brakes all done and tested.
The brakes have been bled and holding the pressure without fading.
The wiring has been repaired and tested
The lights have been jacked up and working well and even the loose electrical connections have been fixed.
The Dash is in and all wiring sorted.
All we now need is the engine,
An clutch kit
Thrust bearing,
And an grease cap for the right hand front wheel, boy is this hard to find.
Still need to fix the back rests for the front seats, as they are damaged and badly fixed.
Now!! the Return of the Engine, the next exciting episode........
