I got back yesterday (not in a ACVW) this time. Awesome event, great vibe, made lots of new friends. Will post pics soonest.

In terms of VW's there was just one Volksrod, a beach buggy and Werners 356 this past weekend and a couple of 911's. Should be some more next weekend. Lots of American cars and lots of cool bikes.

Definitely worth the distance travelled. I will be back. Hopefully in an ACVW next time

Got back yesterday (after leaving the pan on Sunday  )
Epic weekend, my little Lakes Roadster was a bit of an eye opener to some
Looking forward to getting my pics together.
Track was unprepared this year, and unfortunately they had rain twice in the week before the event which caused the natural surface to blister in places, making the middle section of the track a little hairy again. The last km or so was pretty decent though. And of course the track is the same for everyone, you just have to drive according to the conditions.....

Been toying with the idea of building one of these for the speed week
mid mount motor, glass body, lattice chassis.
Would be a nice project, but a waste of money as there be no other use for it

Couple of guys starting to talk about belly-tankers. Would be really cool, but hard to justify until this event really gets on the map.

Personally a plastic one just wouldn't cut it. If you can't get a real tank, then it really should be in metal....... 8)
