I didnt want to mention it at first, but as far as I remembered, the Super Beetle's bonnet IS actually shorter than the 1200/1300/1500 because of the curved screen.....

It IS better to get a 'standard' Bug and do the 60s thing on it.....

Did you fit those taillights without any problems, because I want to get a set of those for my 1974 beetle?
also do you then need a extra set of indicators for the back if you fit those taillights?

hi guyz as most of you know a golf engine is going into my bug this Sunday 13/09/2009 Il post pics as events unfold i hope i dont f#Ck this one up :oops:

a list of the stuff i have for the progect
1.8.8v golf engine
adapter plate and flywheel
kombi clutch
i took off the fuel injection il be running a 36 dcd weeber carborator
i got a 1.8 golf radiator with fan i didint cut the bonnet of the car iv scooped it
got cooling 38mil pipes from a beetle that was running a golf engine that saved me time
ignition module and harness
Coil

Vuyo, where you gonna run your pipe work?? Be careful if you gonna lower the bug or already have done.

the engine is running it almost has a vr6 sound to it. when i get back from grahpt today the cooling pipes are going on :hangloose:

i cuttup an old mestup bootlid i had i cut out recessions camshaft pulley,fan belt pulley and alternator adjuster bolt.i took an old cloth and streched it over the lid

i went back home for lunch then fiberglassed it ,the panel beaters will smooth it when it gos in for the spay job
