The early engine bay is slightly shorter towards the rear. Usually one takes the rear engine tin (the large one), of the newer engine and trim it shorter where it meets the engine. Then drill new holes for the 6mm mounting-screws. The whole rear piece then lives slightly closer towards the engine.
Staying Aircooled is so much nicer.
Do'nt assume anything- (While doing fault-finding).

i could be wrong, but in your second pic of the bonnet on the centre mould were the chrome trim goes between the second and third hole, and to the left of the third hole.

its looks to me like the reflection of the shade netting but other than that, i cant see anything.

Finally got the motor in and the panels and seats looks great :hangloose:

got all the insulator in the car and managed to get the loom through the roof, were its suppose to be. Hopefully the weekend we will be putting in the interior.
