How about introducing yourselves and saying hi???
My relationship with the old VW started with a passion and ended up as my job.
I have been working for years in the foreign trade segment, and I have performed several types of cargo, and one of my strongest traits is the export of Brazilian kombis and vehicles.
Here are some photos of my work.

My name is Kagiso, my 2.6 engine microbus caught fire by itself. I'm looking for a new engine that is reliable as I will be transporting my clients from one province to the other.

Hi Kagiso. Engines catches fire by themselves as they can't look after them self, we have to maintain them, by regularly changing worn fuel pipes etc.
We more into aircooled engines on this forum, but if you speak to Bugger on the forum, sure he can help you with a Golf conversation

Hello hello hello
Fine folk you seem to be. Joined this here internet place 'cos I hope to have a material reason soon for having joined it.
First time car buyer, a neglible amount of money set aside from farm work, and me brain decides to buy a beetle.
Mechanical virgin(with some agri-induced foreplay), so would this choice be one of foolishness, bravery or surrealistic masochism?
Alea iacta est. Just looking for general tips re: what to look/listen/ be aware of in beetles with za sellers. I live out in the styx of the sticks, so very reliant on web offers, with most sellers I've seen a good 300+ k's away.
Also price of spares... any models with decent manufac parts that are in general more economical? Prob a thread for all this already, shall check...
Nice to be here and good day to thee ; )

Re: New Members - Introduce yourself..
Good day all
I'm new to VW's and in particular anything aircooled. I've been wanting a beetle for many years though (kept looking and buying something else
) and after a very long search, I bought a 72 beetle just over a week ago.
Drove it from Joburg to Kimberley(my hometown) without any hassles
Just looking to learn as much as I can and do as much as I can myself.
